Vouchers and packages: keeping regulars coming back

Features4 min read

Prepaid cards are the most effective retention tool a small shop has, and also the easiest place to get the books wrong. The client says three sessions left, your notebook says two, and winning that argument still loses you the client.

Issuing a card

Create a voucher in the voucher centre and attach it to a client record. Both value-based and session-based cards are supported, with an optional expiry. From that point the system keeps the ledger, and the balance no longer depends on anyone remembering.

Auto-deduction at checkout

This is the part that matters. The checkout dialog looks up whether this client has a usable voucher and applies it to the amount due — no looking up the balance, doing the arithmetic, and typing over the number. The remaining balance updates as part of the same step.

Why redemption goes through a confirmation dialog

  • Redeeming is an irreversible deduction, so it takes one explicit confirmation rather than a single tap in a list.
  • Every redemption is logged, so you can trace which sale drew down the balance and when.
  • An insufficient or expired balance is blocked with a plain explanation, not an error code.

What we deliberately left out

There is no marketing automation attached to vouchers — we do not text clients whose balance is running low. How you win repeat business is your call; the tool only guarantees the arithmetic.
